Blaugust check in
I'm now into the fourth week and all in all I think I've done fairly well at writing frequently enough. I knew that I wasn't going to be able to write a post daily. This is both due to things happening that mean I don't really have the time to write something (even though they don't take very long) and also that it's just not how I write.
After August I want to settle into a good pattern for this blog. With my Relative Nostalgia blog I aim for once a week and ideally for either Thursday or Friday (having it go out as an individual email helps a bit now as well). Whereas for this, I'm still deciding. I know that Monday's will be out of the question as it's usually my busiest day. But perhaps Wednesday, Friday, Sunday? Which is actually what I've managed the past week.
As for content of those posts, that's been part of the advantage of engaging with blaugust is that it has encouraged me to get a feel for what sort of things I find myself writing about. I particularly enjoyed the "tech I like" post and very much do want to continue that series.
September will be chaotic for me though as it is the start of the new academic year. Which is coming off a particularly challenging academic year that just didn't end for me (I haven't really had a summer break). So we'll see what the "new year" brings.
