New laptop time
I've finally got a new laptop. Unfortunately I still need to go with Windows for the time being as I will be using this a lot for work. Whilst work does provide me with a laptop it's rather large due to needing a dedicated graphics card. And if I want a portable one then I can only borrow for a few weeks at a time. Plus their small laptops are too underpowered. One extreme to the other.
So, I've had to cough up myself. I did want to get a Framework 12, but that quickly goes above £800 and the screen is mediocre regardless of what you do. Thankfully I was able to find a Lenovo with everything I was looking for.
It arrived today and first impressions were great, it's tiny! I wanted a small 13 inch laptop that is very portable but has just enough power behind it
For now though I've got the joys of setting up Windows 11 and making sure I don't accidentally agree to signing up to a Microsoft paid service (aka scams).
I do hope to soon dual boot it with a Linux distro, but first need to decide which one. Plus, for the time being I need Windows to do it's thing until an upcoming work trip is out of the way.
